Happy holidays! We’re right in the middle of the holiday crush which means that it’s time for a First Draught tradition: talking about all the food.
This month Elisabeth Lane, the wonderful reviewer behind Cooking Up Romance, joined us to talk about our holiday food traditions and tricks for getting through the holiday cooking rush.
Elisabeth kindly created a Pinterest board to share a bunch of her favorite holiday recipes with us.

I’m so excited about this month’s drink! It was featured in the Food Network Magazine that landed in my mailbox way back in October and I’ve been anxiously waiting to share it. Cranberry is a flavor I strongly associate with both Thanksgiving and Christmas and adding champagne (or sparkling wine) to anything makes it instantly festive. Clearly then, in my opinion, the Cranberry Kir Royale is the perfect holiday drink.
It’s what I’ll be sipping on next Tuesday (December 1, 2015) at 8:30pm EST when First Draught gets together to chat about our favorite holiday food traditions and the role food often plays in the stories we write. We are thrilled to welcome special guest, Elisabeth Lane of the popular blog Cooking Up Romance— who knows a thing or two (or 50) about food and fiction.
You can RSVP here to get a reminder about Tuesday’s show. If you’re not able to join us live, you’ll be able to watch the YouTube replay or catch our podcast anytime (while sipping your Cranberry Kir Royale, of course).
